Afferent Zone
As shown at The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Waterloo, Ontario. Sculpture is terra cotta with glaze; sizes range from 7 to 38 inches in height. Paintings are charcoal and acrylic on unstretched canvas; panels are 80 inches in height and up to 87 inches in width. "Afferent" as in conducting inward, as in nerves conducting impulses to the brain, or blood flowing to an organ. Sculpture and paintings are visually linked and overlapped.
